What does “medium heat” mean?

It means there is some spicy adult content and language in the books. However, each book contains much more plot than spice. Most advanced readers have rated these books at two chili peppers, which is on the milder side of medium. More specifically, it means these books do contain open-door love scenes. In other words, the North Bay series a collection of sweet romances with a dash of spice.

Yes. The content warnings are listed at the beginning of each book. Stephanie’s fictional work has a strong focus on mental health, treatment, and consent. Readers should be aware that each book involves adult language and content, consensual sexual situations, and themes like addiction, abandonment, and grief.

What if I don’t like sports? Can I still enjoy these books?

Of course! You don’t have to love sports to enjoy a sports romance, just like you don’t have to play soccer or watch hockey to enjoy Ted Lasso or The Mighty Ducks.

Who is the author?

Stephanie Giese is an independent author in Tampa, Florida. Her work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, and three humor anthologies, including the New York Times best-selling I Just Want to Pee Alone. In 2021, she authored the memoir All I Never Knowed. Books One and Two of her upcoming North Bay romantic comedy series, Out of Left Field and Right As Rain, are available now and Way off Base is set for release in early 2026.
